A finish option in our toolkit of design options is Image sublimation. Image sublimation is a process by which the designer can transfer an image onto architectural metals through a special powder coating process. The image could be a logo, something pictorial, or a texture like wood grain.

The process starts with powder coating a surface that is heated; during that heating process a graphic wrap is placed around the metal and pigments transfer from the wrap and permeate into the powder coat surface. Warranties will vary widely with this type of process and will need to be top of mind during discussions.
